My name is Chuck Burns. When I started this website I knew nothing about HPV and very little about cervical cancer. Now I understand that cervical cancer and all cancers are caused when DNA becomes damaged. I believe that the answer lies in the proteins that make up DNA. Cancer researchers are discovering new concepts everyday about how cells replicate themselves based on the DNA “blueprint”.

I believe that cancer will be completely eliminated in my lifetime. I am 63 so it will happen in the next few years.

Cervical cancer is different than most other cancers because it can be detected early. Pap tests and HPV tests can find abnormal cells before they become cancerous. It is so important to educate all women about the importance of the Pap and HPV tests. Now we have the HPV vaccine and soon there may be a cancer vaccine.
